Miley Cyrus is working on new music with ‘Bangerz’ producer Mike WiLL Made It.
The ‘Wrecking Ball’ hitmaker has been in the studio with the man behind her fourth studio album and six tracks on ‘Miley Cyrus and Her Dead Petz.’
Rae Sremmurd’s Instagram captioned a series of studio shots, “EAR DRUMMERS and HEAD BANGERZ! (sic)”
Mike, who dated Miley briefly in 2013, shared the post on his Instagram Story and added the year 2023, implying that the new material will be released next year.
In 2013, Miley appeared on Mike’s track ’23,’ which also featured Wiz Khalifa and Juicy J.
In 2020, the 29-year-old star released the rock album ‘Plastic Hearts,’ and she had worked on more hip-hop-leaning songs with Mike, but they didn’t make the final cut because they kept it alternative rock.
Miley revealed in 2018: “Then there are songs with Mike WiLL that are more hip-hop in nature, and songs with Andrew Wyatt that are more pop/alternative in nature. I just have a little bit of everything.”
Many fans predicted Miley would return to the ‘Bangerz’ era.
Meanwhile, the ‘Malibu’ singer joked about her lack of Grammy nominations for ‘Plastic Hearts’ in 2022.
The singer-songwriter did not receive a single nomination for her seventh studio album, which debuted at number two on the US Billboard 200 chart and featured collaborations with Dua Lipa (‘Prisoner,’ Billy Idol (‘Night Crawling,’ and Joan Jett (‘Bad Karma.’
In response, she shared a list of 30 artists who did not receive nominations and tweeted, “In good company,” with the metal horns emoji.
