Taylor Swift is bringing “All Too Well” to the Toronto Film Festival

The Toronto International Film Festival’s hottest ticket is likely to be Taylor Swift.

At the yearly film festival, the celebrated singer and songwriter will take the stage to discuss her short film, “All Too Well,” with TIFF CEO Cameron Bailey. Start line up now for “In Conversation With… Taylor Swift” at TIFF Bell Lightbox on Friday, Sept. 9 at 7 p.m. (only kind of joking). It will be the first time “All Too Well” has ever been screened on 35mm.

Taylor Swift is a tremendous visual thinker, and we appreciate the fusion of film and various art forms, added Bailey. We’re eager to hear Taylor’s account of how absorbing filmic influences inspired her to write ‘All Too Well: The Short Film.

Swift presented “All Too Well” at the AMC Lincoln Square 13 in New York City in November 2021 (a multiplex with the same number of screens as her preferred number). The project was described as “a music video on steroids meets a Noah Baumbach movie” at the time by Variety’s Ramin Setoodeh.

Other international icons are also appearing at TIFF. Additionally, Hillary Rodham Clinton and Chelsea Clinton will be present at the festival to give a presentation and watch “Gutsy,” a documentary about the female activists and artists who have influenced them. Being the only woman in Grammy history to have won the Album of the Year award three times, Swift may already be in that elite group. Additionally, she was able to survive the disastrous movie “Cats” unscathed.

The world debuts of “The Fabelmans” by Steven Spielberg, “The Greatest Beer Run Ever” by Peter Farrelly, and “My Policeman,” which stars Harry Styles, another music celebrity, are all part of this year’s TIFF.
