Gigi Hadid was arrested while on vacation in the Cayman Islands. While on vacation in Mexico, the supermodel was arrested for marijuana possession. According to E! News, the 28-year-old was arrested at Owen Roberts International Airport on July 10 after arriving in the Cayman Islands on a private plane with a friend.
The portal also cited a news article in Cayman Marl Road, which stated that customs officials discovered ‘ganja and utensils used for the consumption of ganja’ in Hadid and her friend’s luggage shortly after they arrived via private plane.
The two were then taken to the Prisoner Detention Centre and later released on bail. According to the same report, Hadid and her friend were arrested on “suspicion of ganja importation and importation of ganja consumption utensils.”
Despite the fact that the cannabis was used for personal purposes, the two were arrested on charges of “importation of marijuana and importation of utensils to smoke the cannabis,” according to TMZ.

Hadid and a friend were arrested on suspicion of “illegal importation.”According to the Cayman Marl Road report, Gihi Hadid and her friend McCarthy were charged in summary court on July 12, 2023. The two pleaded guilty and were fined $1,000 each, but there was no conviction recorded.
