A young rapper from Memphis named Lotta Cash Desto who was connected to Lil Uzi Vert was reportedly shot and died in Houston.
Desto was reportedly killed early on Saturday in West Houston, close to 5500 Richmond Avenue, according to FOX 3. She was operating a Porsche SUV with at least one passenger inside when the incident happened at about 2:30 a.m. local time.
Inside the car, two women had been shot and were discovered by the police. While the second woman was taken to a nearby hospital, one of the victims—whom police suspect to be the rapper—was declared dead at the scene.
According to reports, a male shooting victim was discovered nearby and sent to a private medical institution. The survivors, both male and female, are anticipated to live.
“At this moment, we have no information regarding the motive. According to FOX 3, HPD Assistant Chief Wyatt Martin informed reporters on Saturday that “it might be road rage.” Robbery might have taken place. We simply don’t know, and we don’t currently have enough data to draw any conclusions.
HPD has not named any suspects while speaking with witnesses.
