There is a lot of “History” between Zayn Malik and Louis Tomlinson.
Tomlinson said he and his former One Direction bandmate haven’t patched things up since their falling out over 7 years ago during an interview on the “Zach Sang Show” on Wednesday.
You’d have to ask the “Pillowtalk” singer, Tomlinson responded when asked if they were still pals.
I might be mistaken, but I think I responded when you had a query akin to this one [before]… The 30-year-old said, “I guess I stated I don’t think I’m mature enough to get beyond what’s upset me in that relationship.
“I’m not sure if I’m mature enough anymore, but I’m definitely getting over all that,” the speaker said.
After Malik left One Direction in 2015, the two got into a fight on Twitter.
Despite Tomlinson’s assertions that he has “tried to get in touch” with Malik, the two do not appear to have spoken since their highly public argument, despite the fact that this was his mother’s final request.
The “Bigger Than Me” singer continued, “There have been many moments over the last couple of years when I’ve thought about him and hoped he’s okay.
But it’s difficult, he remarked. I sincerely wish him the best.
Tomlinson is optimistic that one day they will be able to patch up their relationship despite their differences.
He said, “I think in time. “I believe we will just have to cross paths because neither of us has the other’s phone number. Social networking, I think, may be the answer.
Fans believed Tomlinson was reaching out to Malik, 29, over the previous few months by liking some of his singing videos on Instagram. Malik is 29 years old.
Malik, who has made no secret of his dislike for the music he produced while a member of One Direction, has recently been posting versions of their famous songs on his Instagram.
Tomlinson expressed his admiration for Malik’s talent when asked if he liked the web videos, calling him a “different level in terms of singers.”
“I wasn’t simply liking it for its own sake. It was a wonderful sensation because I could relate to some of what he was saying about the band in the past, Tomlinson told broadcaster Zach Sang.
“To me, it appeared that he was reflecting on those videos. It was obvious he was remembering those moments. Of course, he was also displaying his wonderful voice.
As it turns out, Tomlinson wasn’t the only member of the band to harbour animosity for the singer of “I Don’t Want to Live Forever.”
When discussing their “conflict” on an edition of Logan Paul’s “Impaulsive” podcast in June, Liam Payne made headlines.
Before mentioning Malik’s “different upbringing,” the “Strip That Down” singer continued, “There are many reasons why I loathe Zayn, and there are many reasons why I’ll always be on his side.”
When questioned about the supposed tension inside the band when appearing on Australia’s “The Project,” Tomlinson responded in a different way.
