Lil Baby Creates History on Billboard’s Top R&B/Hip Hop Charts

Lil Baby continues to win fresh honours on Billboard as we wait for the release of his new album “It’s Only Me,” which will happen in less than two weeks.

More than 100 weeks have passed since “My Turn,” the Atlanta rapper’s second studio album, debuted in the Top 10 of Billboard’s Top R&B/ Hip-Hop Albums list. The previous holder of the record was Post Malone, whose album “Hollywood’s Bleeding” spent a total of 89 weeks inside the Top 10. Since the R&B/Hip-Hop album chart was created in 1965, My Turn is now the only album to have spent the most weeks in the top 10.

On February 28, 2020, the album was released with cameo appearances from Lil Wayne, Young Thug, Future, Gunna, Lil Uzi Vert, Moneybagg Yo, and others. With 197,000 album-equivalent units sold in the first week and five singles including “Woah,” “Sum 2 Prove,” “Emotionally Scarred,” “All In,” and “The Bigger Picture,” the project debuted at #1 on the US Billboard 200. The album was certified triple platinum by the RIAA in February 2021.
