Miley Cyrus has a (very fashionable) history of wearing outfits that are controversial (see: the shortest romper and teeny bikinis). Her most recent look is no exception, and she upped the ante by wearing a high-cut swimsuit with super-tall and skinny stiletto heels.
On Tuesday, the singer took to Instagram to celebrate another week at the top of the charts with her hit song Flowers. Cyrus posed in a plié with her knees bent and turned out to the sides, wearing a white one-shoulder swimsuit with the highest cut hips, which she exaggerated even more in the selfie. One arm was held at a 90-degree angle, pointing up, to show off her bicep and tattoos, while the other was turned the opposite way. Cyrus wore the one-piece with black pointy-toe stiletto heels that were nearly microscopic in size. Her blonde hair was styled in beach waves with a middle part, and she accessorised with a bright red lip.
“Flowers is spending a 12th week globally at #1,” she captioned the picture. “MANY THANKS!”
Since its initial release in January, the song has topped all charts. Cyrus later followed the release of the single with the release of an entire album titled Endless Summer Vacation. In March, the singer and personality hosted a star-studded album release party at the Gucci Osteria da Massimo Bottura restaurant. Cyrus wore a sparkly black one-shoulder minidress with a teal faux fur coat to the event.
Backyard Sessions, a Disney+ special, featured the star performing stripped-down and acoustic versions of hit songs while explaining the inspiration behind the album. “It was a time in my life where I was going through just a lot emotionally and personally, and I guess all my songs kind of evolve,” she explained during the special show. “They can start as something bothersome, like it just feels like an April shower.” It never ceases to rain. Then it began to rain down like love.
