Tish Cyrus, Miley Cyrus’ mother, is reportedly seeing “someone new” after her “painful” divorce from husband Billy Ray.
According to an insider, the executive producer of The Last Song is “definitely” dating, and the Angels Like You singer has approved of her mother’s new beau.
According to the source, Tish is still processing her heartbreaking divorce from Miley’s father, with whom she divorced after 28 years of marriage.
“Tish is doing well and is dating someone new, so it’s not that she wants Billy back,” an insider explained. “But that doesn’t mean the breakup wasn’t painful.”
“It was not something she ever expected to happen.” It also happened at a difficult time in her life because she was still mourning the loss of her beloved mother.
“Tish has had a difficult couple of years, and Miley is very protective of her mother.” Tish is strong and doing well, but Miley will always be protective of her; she will always be on Tish’s side.
Tish is “keeping her man under wraps,” according to the insider, “but she is seeing someone new, and Miley and her kids approve.”
“I don’t know how serious things are, but Miley is happy for her mom because she seems happy with this guy,” the Disney alum says.
