Kid Cudi Congratulates Sheryl Lee Ralph on Her Historical Emmy Win

Sheryl Lee Ralph is a hero in the eyes of Kid Cudi.

Cudder was one of the many famous people who praised Ralph for winning the 74th Primetime Emmy Awards in history. The 65-year-old actress won for her performance as Barbara Howard in the ABC sitcom Abbott Elementary in the category of Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series. After Jackée Harry’s victory for 227 in 1987, it was the second time a Black actress had taken home the award in this category.

Etienne Maurice, Ralph’s kid, made a TikTok video in which he revealed that he had learned Cudder. He also sent his mother a bouquet of flowers and a heartfelt congratulations.

You received roses from Kid Cudi? No! The 30-year-old reads the note aloud to his mother before asking, “What?” Congratulations, Sheryl! It was incredibly amazing to watch you and Quinta [Brunson] triumph. You are a legend. The key was your speech. Always on your side… A meeting with you is something I look forward to.

Ivy-Victoria Maurice, Ralph’s daughter who is 27 years old, likewise found it hard to believe.

Oh my god, Kid Cudi. She continued, “I know you sent my mom flowers, but I love you so much,” before she and her brother started singing the rapper’s hit, “Maui Wowie.”

In the caption of the video, Maurice also conveyed his appreciation.

In his letter, he said, “I never in my wildest thoughts thought one of my favourite musicians of all time would be sending flowers to my mum. “I know this is about my Mom, but @KidCudi, if it weren’t for me blasting your music on the way to school in the morning or her purchasing tickets to see you at my high school graduation, my mom wouldn’t know who you were. I’ve been a fan of yours since the beginning, brother. I appreciate you thinking of mothers. My g, you are cherished.
